About

I am a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of York.

Until December 2013, I will be based at the University of Neuchâtel as a Research Fellow of the Swiss National Foundation, working on a joint project entitled ‘Imagination, Emotion and Value’.

I am also co-Director of CHIPhi, the White Rose Centre for the History of Philosophy (http://www.chiphi.org/) and treasurer of the British Society for the History of Philosophy (http://www.bshp.org.uk/).

Previous posts include a Junior Research Fellowship at Newnham College (2005-8), Cambridge, and a Lectureship at the University of Leeds (2008-11).
