Works at the Jorvik Viking Centre and has been studying Viking warfare, mythology, burial customs and material culture for 5 years. And is carrying out an MA in Medieval Archaeology and focusing on the Viking Shield and its change in use from the 8th- 11th Century.

Active combatant in re-enactment fighting and historical swordsmanship.
