About
I am an AHRC-funded PhD student with the History Department at the University of York. My research looks at the way the history of the transatlantic slave trade has been remembered in public discourse in Liverpool from the 19th century to the present day. I have previously worked for National Museums Liverpool as a Research Assistant and obtained an MA degree (AHRC funded) from the Archaeology Department at the University of York in Cultural Heritage Management in 2008 (with Dr Laurajane Smith). I studied at the University of Liverpool as an undergraduate and obtained a degree in Combined Honours: Archaeology and English (2006).
I also currently run a Cultural Heritage reading group and teach undergraduate history at the University of York.
