About
Rosalind Brownlow MA, BA (Hons), PG Dip Ed, LPE, RGN, FHEA.
I have a keen interest in researching professional education and my research interests include e-learning, online learning and entertainment-education. My doctoral thesis is exploring the experience of online learners using entertainment-education in the sphere of cardiovascular care.
I enjoy innovating in educational practice and research and I am currently helping student nurses understand the experiences of older people through creative writing.
I like co-operative and action-orientated approaches to learning and I am leading the development of student Co-operative Learning Groups and staff Communities of Practice for our new undergraduate nursing curriculum here at University of York.
I lead national and international courses in coronary heart disease prevention and heart failure care, as well as a range of cardiovascular education courses for the local market.
I work closely with the British Heart Foundation Care and Education Research Group and I am an active member of the British Association for Cardiovascular Rehabilitation. I am a member of the Higher Education Academy's elearning Special Interest Group (ELSIG).
