PhD in medieval archaeology. Specialising in Viking Age Scandinavia and in cultural communication, urbanism, exchange and social networks in the Early Middle Ages.
As from 2012 jointly appointed at the University of York, UK and Aarhus University, Denmark, as PI of a collaborative research project:
ENTREPOT: Maritime Network Urbanism in Global Medieval Archaeology
Funded by the Sapere Aude programme of the Danish Research Council.
